Despite philosophical differences, all major world religions have the same potential to create good human beings.

Dalai Lama on Twitter.

I knew there was a reason I always felt an affinity for Buddhism: of all the world religions, including my own, it is perhaps the most logical. I recently bought a book of stories that the Buddha told, called The Buddha Said . . .  It should make for an interesting read if I ever get around to it. Too bad most people, especially those advocates of their own religions, don't understand the truth of the Dalai Lama's statement above. On the other hand, most adherents to religion (of any variety) are so shitty at it that they don't become good human beings anyway, so perhaps the numbers are against our dear man in orange here.  *sigh* The world may be as awesome as the Discovery Channel claims (and it is) but it's still pretty fucked up too.
